What do you want to fly?
Indoor practice, cinematic proximity, racing, freestyle, and long-range exploration point to different airframes and power systems.
24 TRACKED SYSTEMSAircraft guide · First-person view
Compare integrated FPV drones, ready-to-fly kits, cinewhoops, tiny whoops, and open systems by control mode, video link, repair path, batteries, and legal operating setup.
What belongs in this category
FPV is a control and video ecosystem, not one drone category. An integrated camera aircraft, a tiny indoor whoop, a guarded cinewhoop, and a five-inch freestyle build can share the goggle view while demanding different radios, batteries, repair skills, locations, and safety margins.
Before comparing specifications
Indoor practice, cinematic proximity, racing, freestyle, and long-range exploration point to different airframes and power systems.
The aircraft, goggles, controller, receiver, video transmitter, firmware, and replacement parts must work together.
Crashes are part of FPV. Decide whether you want a manufacturer repair path, replaceable modules, or a solder-and-build platform.

Comparison framework
Use the same four-part check for every candidate. It keeps one impressive specification from hiding a weak workflow, support path, or operating fit.
Stabilized, angle, manual or acro behavior, rates, arming, failsafe, and simulator compatibility.
Analog or digital link, goggles, latency, recording, antennas, and ecosystem lock-in.
Cell count, connector, charger, storage voltage, expected flight time, and safe battery handling.
Frames, motors, props, ducts, electronics, firmware, soldering access, and parts availability.
Under ordinary U.S. recreational and Part 107 operations, the aircraft still must remain within visual line of sight. A visual observer can support an FPV operation, but the crew plan and location still need to satisfy the applicable rules.
