Can I spray crops with only a Part 107 certificate?
Do not assume so. Agricultural application can require Part 137 authority, an aircraft-specific approval path, state pesticide credentials, label compliance, and additional records or operating conditions.
Is a multispectral drone required for crop scouting?
No. RGB imagery can document visible stand, drainage, lodging, storm, and access conditions. Multispectral data can add value when the workflow, calibration, ground truth, and agronomic interpretation support it.
How should I compare spray-drone capacity?
Compare the complete field cycle: payload, swath, refill and battery time, charging infrastructure, transport, terrain, calibration, wind limits, support, and the legal application workflow. Tank size alone is not throughput.
