The event
Sixty-nine Open-class pilots, one field, three days.
MultiGP holds its 2026 championship October 15 to 17 at Dallas Drone Racing, 2304 Sandy Lake Road in Carrollton, a Dallas suburb. The event page lists 69 pilots, all in the Open class, which MultiGP calls the world's premier event in Open-class drone racing. The prize is $10,000 in cash divided among the top four. MultiGP did not publish the split by place.
Pilots earned invitations through a Global Qualifier that ran March 27 to August 24, plus regional, European, Canadian, and Latin American championship results. Invitations began August 31. Each pilot ticket cost $200. The AMA's event listing says qualifying runs Thursday and Friday, with racing Friday night and Saturday.
How it runs
Two days of qualifying, then double-elimination brackets.
The shop page's FAQ lays out the format: roughly two days of qualifying, then a day of 16-pilot double-elimination brackets with bump-ups, and every pilot who attends races in a bracket. MultiGP describes Joaquin "JBOX" Ybanez as the reigning champion.
