Import/export requires written UCAA authorization, customs declaration, and Joint Security Office clearance.

UAS must be registered by UCAA before operation; remote pilot authorization/licensing may apply.

Possible only within Uganda's UAS categories after registration, authorization, and site/security clearances.

Before you travel

  1. 01Get import authorization before travel through the UCAA/security process.
  2. 02Register the UAS and obtain certificates or authorizations.
  3. 03Submit operation request, line-ministry no-objection where relevant, security clearance, and fees.

Max altitude
400 ft AGL for qualifying VLOS operations, or lower/as approved by UCAA.
Recreational
Possible only within Uganda's UAS categories after registration, authorization, and site/security clearances.
Commercial work
Requires UCAA operator certification/authorization and security requirements.
Airspace
