Permit path requiredIDAC form before recreational or commercial flight
The Dominican Republic has a real online path. Small drones have lighter paperwork, but you still need to use the IDAC forms and respect controlled zones.
Bring it
Keep IDAC approval available and do not rely on DJI geozones as legal permission.
Register it
Use the IDAC drone guide and recreational/commercial online forms.
Fly it
Use IDAC form 1500-9. Drones under 249 g have lighter Dominican licence/insurance treatment, but the form still asks for route and operation details.
Map check
Controlled, restricted, prohibited, airport-adjacent, night, and people-overflight operations need authorization or coordination.
Before you travel
- 01Submit the recreational or commercial IDAC form before flying.
- 02Attach home-country registration/licence/insurance evidence where applicable.
- 03Include map, coordinates, dates, and site permissions in your plan.
