House Bill 974 (2021), the Mississippi Unmanned Aircraft Systems Protection Act, codified at Miss. Code §§ 97-47-1 to 97-47-9, makes it a misdemeanor to knowingly use a drone to surveil, collect data on, or record a critical infrastructure or correctional facility without the owner's written consent, and a felony of three to fifteen years to deliver contraband to a correctional facility by drone.
